The heartbeats speed up, the rhythm of the music becomes more pressing, and clapping is louder ... we are in the Dominican Republic. Five senses are a few to catch all the magic of this place made of earth and sea ... we appeal to our sixth sense, to our heart and our sensitivity in order to live this moment which was not a holiday but ... it was an experience. It was like discovering the intimacy of a new home and the warmth of a new family, the light of a sun we did not know and the dampness of the rain we had never seen, the taste of a fruit and the rhythm of a song never danced, the blue of the sea which never get us tired of him and the green of palms which caressed the waves. Everything else has to be discovered by those who have seen only the pictures but did not live the real Dominican life.

I arrived in this place 10 days ago .... and go away is really a shame. The people here are hospitable and warm…they make you feel at home, the sea is fantastic and full of wonders! Well what can I say? It is a real paradise … see you next year!

This holiday can be defined as wonderful. The location is fantastic! But in particular here people are always cheerful which makes Las Terrenas a place of joy. Although we visited only few places I have to say that the island is beautiful. During the night it becomes even more interesting with its dancing and its cocktails.

What about Las Terrenas and its wonders? ... Nothing! Good things should not be told, they have to be lived ... My holidays in that bewitching place have been beautiful, starting from the hospitality of Lee and of whole his family who made me feel at ease in order to live a special holiday ... For everything else, there are no words. Just before this trip, I used to look at the postcards of those fantastic places and I always used to say that they had been adjusted, that they had to be photomontages, that such wonderful color do not really exist… but when I came to Las Terrenas I changed my mind because all this really exists: the sea with its shades of blue, the whitest beach and the stretched out palm trees towards the sea which bring something magic to this earthly paradise ... at least once in a life you have to go there. I will keep all these memories in my heart ...

Las Terrenas is a Paradise: wonderful landscapes,  friendly people…Lee and Roy are perfect guides and their relatives are fantastic! What are you waiting for? Hy everyone, if you are reading my message it must be because you are interested in leaving for the Dominican Republic.

This is a quote from Garcia Marquez:

What matters in life is not what happens to you but what you remember and how you remember it.”

Trying to describe the two most beautiful weeks of my life is not easy, but my memories are so intense and strong that , quoting Marquez, I can affirm that I really lived those days fully.

The house is very pretty and very near to the centre of the town.

The owner is very kind and is always there to help and give good advice, just like a personal assistant ready to provide for all needs.

During the excursions he followed us to help us get to know and appreciate his country and its culture.

The weeks we spent in Las Terrrenas were really fantastic thanks to fact we were far from tourist resorts and we could appreciate the culture and warmth of the people who live there.

And to all those who still are not sure….your bad luck!
